Model Definition2BKD-D38 refers to Type B internal elastic circlip. D38 means it fits 38mm piston pin hole. It is specially used to limit piston pin of Weichai WP4 series engines, locking piston pin to prevent axial displacement, which may cause cylinder scoring and piston knocking failure. Operation Rules & Distinction Instruction
Assembly requirement: Install with special internal circlip plier only, do not pry with hard tools to prevent plastic deformation and loss of limiting function; confirm circlip fully embedded in piston pin groove without offset or protrusion after installation.
Replacement rule: Must install new circlip during engine overhaul or piston pin replacement. Old circlip has elastic fatigue and risk of falling off after repeated use.
Difference between OEM and inferior aftermarket parts: Original 2BKD-D38 uses 65Mn spring steel with qualified hardness, stable rebound tension, burr-free and complete anti-rust treatment; inferior aftermarket products adopt ordinary cold rolled steel with insufficient hardness, easy to rust, lose elasticity and crack in short term, which may lead to engine scrapping.
